Betobet Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Policy

Betobet adopts this AML Policy to comply with applicable anti money laundering and countering financing of terrorism laws. This policy applies to all Betobet customers and employees and governs onboarding, ongoing monitoring, and safeguards against illicit finance.

Definitions

  • Anti Money Laundering AML measures to detect, prevent and report money laundering and the financing of terrorism.
  • KYC Know Your Customer procedures to identify and verify customers.
  • CDD Customer Due Diligence, standard verification based on risk.
  • EDD Enhanced Due Diligence for higher risk customers or activities.
  • PEP Politically Exposed Person or connected family and close associates.
  • SAR Suspicious Activity Report submitted to regulators when required by law.

Governance and regulatory framework

Betobet operates under the licensing and regulatory framework applicable to its jurisdiction and adheres to the supervisory requirements for AML compliance. Betobet reserves the right to suspend or close accounts to comply with law or regulator requests or where monitoring indicates risk that cannot be mitigated.

Customer due diligence and risk assessment

Betobet applies a risk based approach to CDD and EDD. Customer risk is assessed at onboarding and reviewed periodically. Standard customers receive baseline due diligence; higher risk customers, including identified high risk geographies, products, or sources of funds, are subject to enhanced due diligence, more frequent monitoring, and additional data collection.

Identity verification

  • Identity verification is required for all new customers before full account functionality is enabled.
  • Elements of verification include the possession of a government issued photo ID, confirmation of current residential address, and verification of the payment method used for deposits and withdrawals.
  • Betobet may perform checks against internal and external screening databases and may request additional information if discrepancies or gaps arise.

Documentation requirements

  • Identity documents: valid government issued photo ID such as a passport, national ID card, or driver license. Copies must be clear and include relevant details; front and back where applicable; sensitive data may be redacted consistent with security requirements.
  • Proof of address: document issued within the last three months showing customer name and current residential address, e.g., utility bill or bank statement.
  • Proof of payment method: documentation demonstrating the legitimacy of the deposit and withdrawal methods, aligned with the method used. Examples include copies of cards showing customer name and the first six and last four digits, with security numbers redacted; for e wallets, screenshots showing account email and identifier; for bank transfers, bank statement with bank name, account number, IBAN and BIC; for crypto, transaction evidence and wallet profile details. Pre paid vouchers may be subject to additional verification.

Onboarding timelines

Betobet aims to complete identity and payment verifications within three business days from receipt of all required documents. Where additional information is requested, processing times extend accordingly. Inadequate documentation may result in restricted account functionality, withdrawal holds, or account closure in accordance with applicable law.

Ongoing monitoring and risk management

Betobet continuously monitors transactions and account activity for signs of money laundering or terrorist financing. The monitoring system flags unusual patterns for manual review by the Betobet Compliance Team. Customer risk profiles are reviewed periodically and adjusted as needed.

Suspicious activity reporting and cooperation with authorities

Betobet promptly reports suspicious activity to the appropriate regulatory or law enforcement authorities in accordance with applicable law. When required, we file Suspicious Activity Reports and cooperate with investigations, providing information consistent with legal and data protection obligations. Where necessary, we may temporarily restrict access to accounts implicated in suspected activity while investigations proceed.

Sanctions, PEP and screening

Betobet screens customers against sanctions lists, politically exposed persons lists, and other risk indicators. If a match is identified, we suspend activity and seek additional information or take corrective action in line with regulatory requirements. Screening is conducted on a periodic basis and upon material events.

Data retention and privacy

Betobet retains customer data and related documents for a period required by law and internal policy, generally not less than five years from account termination or as mandated by applicable law. Access to retained data is restricted to authorized personnel and regulators as permitted by law. Personal data processing complies with Betobet Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

Rights to information and corrections

Customers may access their data held by Betobet, request corrections where inaccurate, and request deletion or restriction where permitted by law. Requests should be made through the Betobet Help Center and will be processed in a timely manner in accordance with data protection laws.

Self-exclusion and responsible gaming

Betobet provides self-exclusion options and responsible gaming tools. AML controls may impose restrictions on accounts or terminate access where required by law or policy, including for self-excluded individuals in line with applicable regulations.

Betobet will provide at least two weeks notice for material changes to this policy. Continued use of Betobet products after the effective date indicates acceptance of the updated policy. Updates will be communicated through the Betobet Help Center and customer account portals.
